DCL have been appointed to carry out the cost management for a substantial category B mechanical/public health fit out at 40 Bank Street, Canary Wharf worth £5.6m.
This project consists of seven working floors, two specialist floors and one CAT A floor. Each of these floors consisted of a ductwork ring main fed from a landlords riser feeding out to variable and constant air volume boxes. Both the working and specialist floors required computer room air conditioning systems to keep data units at a constant temperature. The specialist floors included an AHU specifically for the gymnasium area and an exposed service deli area.
Due to its desirable location 40 Bank Street has a client ready to occupy all seven working floors and two specialist floors. The services were designed and installed around the clients requirements. To ensure the client could have beneficial use as soon as possible this was a fast track project, with works beginning in January 2011 and full completion anticipated for mid November 2011.
