DCL have been appointed to carry out the cost management for a substantial HV panel upgrade and associated HV cabling at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital at the value of £1.1m.
The hospital is a modern purpose designed and built facility which opened in May 1993 which provides a wide range of specialist services for patients as well as general local services for people living locally.
The works carried out included the installation of three new HV panels in a new purpose built HV switchroom, all associated HV cabling and the removal of the existing HV panel.
The purpose of these new HV panels is to serve two additional generators (further to the two existing) and two new combined heat and power units.
The two new generators provide greater load shedding for the existing building and its new extension, whilst the CHP provides a green alternative to the buildings requirements.
