DCL were appointed for Cost management on a substantial Mechanical and Public Health project at the Westfield Stratford City, The Contract included chilled water, low temperature hot water services, domestic hot and water services, soil vent and rainwater. Initially the contract was for part of the Shell and Core installation and over 18 months the scope of the project grew considerably to include more Shell and Core works along with retail fit outs.

The shopper centre, opened on 13 September 2011 has total retail floor area of 1,883,700 square feet (175,000m2). The centre comprises of three floors with 300 shops and 5,000 parking spaces.  It is the 3rd largest shopping centre in the United Kingdom, and if the surrounding areas are taken into account it is the largest urban shopping area in the European Union.

The centre houses prestigious boutiques such as Tag Heuer, Hugo Boss and Lacsote as well as Primark, H&M and Topshop. Every shop was fitted with a Mains Coldwater and Hot Water Supply, Ventilation and Chilled Water. Different companies would then require different supplies depending on how much floor space they used, leading to many variations on site. There were also mechanical facilities provided for over 60 restaurants.

The retail centre is the newest addition to the Westfield Group, with investments interests in 124 shopping centres across Australia, Brazil, New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom.
